The ink has barely dried since the last negative Android story made the front page of The Metro (I wrote about it here).

This time round it’s because some researchers have found out that the Android operating system can ‘leak’ personal data when connected to¬†unsecured¬†Wi-Fi networks. Whether it’s true or not doesn’t matter anymore, it’s been splashed across one of the most popular papers in London.

I can see why The Metro have gone with it on the front page. Right now ‘phone hacking’ scandals are hot news, anything that can fuel that fire will be used and abused, regardless of accuracy.

Do you think consumers will brush this off or will this affect purchase decisions?
